The City of Eagle has grown dramatically over the last several decades. Originally focused on agriculture and farming, the city didn’t begin to grow until the arrival of Hewlett Packard in Idaho during the late 1970’s. Prior to their arrival, the town had a small residential population of only 350 people. Today, the city has a much larger population with over 20,000 people. Just 22 minutes from the center of Boise and about 30 minutes to the nearest camp ground, Eagle is centrally located to a wide variety of events and activities. The city features well designed neighborhoods and a thriving commercial economy. Many homes in Eagle are ripe with amenities such as high-end appliances, vaulted ceilings and large master suites. Eagle has an ideal mixture of quality employment and housing, which attributes to its small town charm and convenient upscale suburban living.

The City of Eagle is a family-focused community and sponsors several family events such as the Eagle Country Christmas, Saturday Markets, Eagle Fun Days, and more. Eagle Fun Days, one of the most popular events in the city, is an annual event held for 4 days in June. The festivities are quite a spectacle, featuring activities like the Famous Wet and Wild Parade, Free Wheeling 5K and 10K Run, Concerts, Family Bike Night, Community Breakfast, and the Treasure Valley’s best food vendors.

During the event, the Eagle Volunteer Fire Department puts on the “World’s Largest Rocky Mountain Oyster Feed” as a fundraiser for the organization. The festival attracts crowds from the entire valley.
