Eric from Maid to Clean in Detroit shows us how to make your own oven cleaner for a fraction of the cost of the store bought version. This cleaner works wonders and is extremely economical for those on a tight budget. (Not to mention that it isn’t as TOXIC as most store bought cleaners).
Step 1: Add 2 Cups Baking Soda. When you make your own oven cleaner you greatly reduce your contact with hazardous chemicals. Baking soda is a mild alkali, which causes dirt and grease to dissolve easily in water for effective grime removal without the TOXIC chemicals.
Step 2: SLOWLY Add 1 Cup Distilled White Vinegar. Your mixture will fizz a bit, so be sure to add the vinegar slowly.
Step 3: Add 1/2 cup Dawn dish soap. Stir at a slow pace to prevent the dish soap from sudsing.
Step 4: Bottle it. Add your mixture to a spray bottle for an even application.
There you have it! Making your own oven cleaner is simple and takes less than 5 minutes. Watch the full video for a complete tutorial on how to make your own oven cleaner.
