Whirlpool Front Load Washer Lawsuit Settlement

Deadline Approaching: Whirlpool Front Load Washer Lawsuit Settlement

Moldy WasherIf you own a Whirlpool, Maytag or Kenmore front loading washing machine that was manufactured between 2001 and 2010, you might be eligible to join the class action lawsuit against Whirlpool Corporation.

According to a liability litigation against Whirlpool Corporation [Case No. 1:08-WP-65000 (MDL 2001)], design defects in select Whirlpool, Kenmore, and Maytag front loading washing machines are responsible for the accumulation of mold, mildew, and other biological debris in the washer door boot. Allegations against Whirlpool Corporation suggest that the mold growth caused by their machines has produced strong odors in consumers’ homes and clothing that is nearly impossible to remove.

Do I qualify for the Whirlpool front load lawsuit?

The lawsuit includes more than 75+ front loading washing machines including about 20 Whirlpool models, 5 Maytag models, and 50 Kenmore models. Check your specific model number and the manufacture date of the appliance before submitting your claim. Find out if your washer is eligible here.

What if I received a notice stating that I qualify for the Whirlpool Front Loading Machine Class Action Lawsuit? If you received a letter asking you to join the lawsuit, it’s important to submit your claim no later than October 11, 2016, to guarantee that you’ll be included in the final settlement.

What if I didn’t receive a notice regarding the class action lawsuit? Even if you didn’t receive a notice, you may still qualify. If you’ve never registered your product with Whirlpool Corporation, you were probably not notified about the settlement. Check here to see if your product qualifies.

Why is there a class action lawsuit against Whirlpool’s front loading washers?

Consumers across the United States filed a class action lawsuit against Whirlpool Corporation for mold related issues with their front loading washing machines.

Class Members seek monetary compensation for damage that they claim is the result of manufacturer defects in Whirlpool’s front loading washing machines.

If you purchased a Maytag, Whirlpool, or Kenmore front loading washing machine between 2001 and 2010, you might qualify for up to $500 in cash for out of pocket expenses or a voucher for a rebate off the purchase of a new washer and dryer.
